The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has launched the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme (ESDP), aimed at motivating young individuals from diverse backgrounds to consider self-employment or entrepreneurship as a viable career option. The programme targets specific groups, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), women, differently abled persons, Ex-servicemen, and Below Poverty Line (BPL) individuals.
The ESDP is designed to equip these young individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their entrepreneurial ventures. The programme also focuses on meeting the skill requirements of industries, particularly Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), by providing training for both youth and industry workforce.
