The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken a series of proactive measures to ensure effective monsoon management on national highways. In close coordination with state administration and officials, NHAI field offices have undertaken inspections of NH stretches to identify potential risks and take preventive measures.

A dedicated Emergency Response Team equipped with sufficient manpower and machinery has been mobilized at each landslide-prone site to swiftly respond to any situation that may arise during the monsoon season. This move aims to minimize disruptions to traffic flow and ensure the safety of motorists using national highways. Additionally, ATMS (Automatic Traffic Monitoring System) and RajmargYatra App have been deployed to disseminate information to assist National Highway users.

The proactive measures taken by NHAI are part of its efforts to ensure smooth and safe travel on national highways during the monsoon season. With the monsoon rains bringing challenges such as landslides, flooding, and waterlogging, these steps aim to mitigate the impact on traffic flow and reduce the risk of accidents.

By taking these proactive measures, NHAI is demonstrating its commitment to providing a safe and efficient transportation system for all motorists using national highways.
