The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), in collaboration with the National Institute for Urban Affairs (NIUA), has successfully concluded the 4th Season finale of the Student Thesis Competition (STC) on 'Re-Imagining Urban Rivers'. The event was co-hosted at the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai, on August 6th - 7th, 2024.

This initiative aimed to provide a platform for students and young professionals to share their innovative ideas and research findings related to river management. During the STC Finale, participants engaged in lively discussions and deliberations that offered valuable opportunities for co-learning.

The event helped attendees develop a deeper sensitivity toward river management, both personally and professionally. This competition not only encouraged students to think creatively about urban rivers but also provided a space for them to learn from each other's experiences.

As the competition continues to grow in popularity, it is likely to inspire more students to take up research projects focused on urban river rejuvenation.
